G is in his mid-career and has been in the same position for 8.5 years. According to his performace, he should be promoted a long time ago. His career problem is largely due to his unsophisticated politics, reclusive personality, and in-your-face style attitude during arguments. His work is never appreciated by his direct bosses. He is probably a typical professional Chinese who is a misfit the US work environment.
His anti-example is a reminder for me. I wish I would not have to repeat his career mistakes.
