小区里的中国人家

因为我一个人上班没有太多的闲钱，所以一开始就和老公决定住在麻省的大学提供的家庭计划住宅小区。这里有很多中国的夫妇，有些没有孩子，有些有孩子，有些还有不只两个孩子。今早遇到了这么一家人，说起来令人难以想象。我的年收入差不多六万一年，住在这个房租已经很便宜的地方，还是感觉手头紧紧的。今天遇到的这家人，妻子不做工，就靠丈夫在学校当研究助理的每个月1500过活。两个孩子，一男一女，女儿和我们家的宝宝差不多大。据她说他们一个月也就1800就够了，包括房租，小孩子的托儿所和幼儿园的费用。令人感叹！我们每个月还一分钱也剩不下来。是不是我们应该更节约一些?
