Perennials save more money than annuals. Perennials come back year after year and get bigger each year. Get a book on perennials and find out what's doing well in your neighbors garden. Or, you can go to a nursery or garden center and ask folks there to recommand some good plants for your area. Lawn needs fertilizer in early spring, late spring and summer. Aeration once a year is also good for the lawn. It can be done either in spring or fall.
