The Chinese are used to cut throat pricing. And when the local store won't meet the customer's price, well the customer will keep haggling till they get the price they want, or leave.

Wal-Mart's 'everyday low prices' theme hasn't struck a chord in China the way it does elsewhere.

But, Wal-Mart has a more serious problem. It has not been able to replicate its super-efficient logistic system.  Reason being - it doesn't have the volume of sales...yet. The key word being yet.
