Nova Scotia is the second smallest province at east coast of Canada, including 3800 coastal islands. It is 55,491 sqare km and almost completely surrounded by Atlantic Ocean. Cape Breton is the biggest island connected to Nova Scotia through a bridge. The capital city of Nova Scotia is Halifax. "Nova Scotia" means "New Scotland" in Latin. The nearest provinces are New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island. The Bay of Fundy is located between Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. It has the highest tide in the world. Prince Edward Island is the smallest province in Canada. You can get to PEI through ferry, by 12.9 km the longest bridge in the world -- Confederation Bridge, or by air. The capital city of PEI is Charlottetown.
