I definitely agree with you: love the person who is infatuated with you and who you have passion for.
The foundation of true love should be “respect” – respect yourself and being respected.
I heard this saying somewhere, maybe you did too: “If you want to love someone, ensure to love yourself first.”
I don’t agree with the father completely though. The father suggests his daughter loving a man who is infatuated with her. Well, a man who is infatuated with her, may not the man who she loves. Furthermore, the father thinks that the daughter doesn’t need “Li Zhi” when she looks for love, but “Xin”. However, I believe that when one looks for true love, “Xin” and “Li Zhi” should come along; and only when these two elements come along, the daughter may then make a right choice.
