Mainland Chinese Spend Most in Macao

The Statistics and Census Service in Macao reported that the average visitor to the Asian gambling capital spent 1,430 patacas ($178.75) in the third quarter of this year, up just 1% over last year.

However, the same organization announced that visitors from mainland China spent more than twice that much - 2,898 patacas ($362.25).

I don't know why it is, but the Chinese love to gamble.
