Chinese Cars Impress In Beijing Auto Show

Chinese cars make up only one-fifth of domestic sales. However, Beijing wants to see 60% of market share by 2010.

Two years ago, Chery sold about 7,000 vehicles a month. Last month, the company sold 5 times that - 35,000 for the multiplication impaired.

Chery is also talking with DaimlerChrysler AG about producing a sub-compact car for the Dodge Brand.
