what I like about Beijing

Beijing is the combination of

DC (politics center)
Hollywood (entertainment)
Boston (education, hi tech)
1/2 Sillicon Valley (hi tech)
1/2 to 3/4 NYC (finance and culture)

in China,

Shanghai is more LA (leisure, commerce) than NYC despite the fact Shanghai owns a stock exchange, because in fact Beijing, not Shanghia, is on the critical path to the source of funds.
