Vårsøg
Spring rush
No skin det sol, e høgste svealiå
Now shines (the) sun, in the highest forest free (due to human activity) slopes
no bli det vår, det kjinne e so vel
now it becomes spring, the ??? are/is so good/well
det søng så tongt, kring alle dalasiå
it sings so heavily, in all valley slopes
å synnavinn' han kjem og gjer me sel
and the wind from the south it comes and gives me ???
Når sola skin, da bli det fint e fjellå
When the sun shines, then it becomes pretty in the mountains
då ska e dit, å hør kor bekkjin søng
then I'll go there, and listen to how the creek sings
å kliv te topps, e brattast berjestellå
and climb to the top, in the steepest mountain places
å vera tårt, å tåg å tågbærløng
and to be ???, and ??? and ???
æ kjinne lokt, tå gras kring alle haua
???, remove grass around all heaps
å sola skin, å bjøllin kling so kløkt
and the sun shines, and the bell rings so ???
å tjørnnin legg, så blank der e ska laua
and the pond lies, so smooth where it will ???
me berg ekreng der e kainn sol me trøkt
with mountains around where I can sunbathe myself ???
å du å du, kor sår å sæl e stoinna
oh you oh you, how aching and happy is the moment
når sola skin, frå kvite høgde ne
when the sun shines, from white hills downwards
da vært æ vår'n, hainn e kje længer oinna
then it becomes spring, it's no longer away
at e får levva slik ein somar te
that it may live like that another summer
