Speaking of swimming, it reminded me of my parents
back when I was a kid. There are several rivers running
through our city.
During the summer, my parents took me to the river to
swim. My mother normally sat on the bank watching us.
Once, when my father was teaching me how to swim, we
were pulled into a big hole that we could not get out
of it. Finally, my father pushed me out of water. I
called for help. Somebody got my father out of the
water, too. Ever since then, my father never took me
to that river again. All I know is how to do
backstroke.
Ever since we moved to Indiana, our house has a pool.
I was so nervous when kids were around the pool since
none of us knew how to swim then except Bob. But he is
always home so late.
So both kids and I took swimming class. Now all of us
know how to swim except Tony. During the summer, kids
spend their afternoon in the pool every day. I like to
swim in the evening alone when the moon is out. It is
so peaceful and quiet.
