Thank you so much for your compliment. I truly appreiciate your feeling. I was born in China, grew up in Taiwan, and spent my most precious time making contribution to this country. I had a dream that I could contribute to my country with all my haart and all my efforts. I did it but, unfortunatley, the outcome was only to help them to raise money used in buying Chinese enterprise with a relatively lower price tag. I was angry, disappointed and I can only do that much. I certainly echo your last statement "It is a sort of silent cry deep in the heart. Hurtful and helpless." Thank you again for your reading and comments.

Since the day I have a luck to read your article about your brother-in-law, your blog become a place to visit everyday. Could not tell how do I feel when I read this series of articles about your life in Shanghai. I had a chance to be back china two year's ago, and found the place I grow up is a strange place even to me. It should come in no surprise that the majority of scholars like you have chosen to leave the country we love so dearly. It is a sort of silent cry deep in the heart. Hurtful and helpless.
