A Flower Day

On the entry way of my house, there are two pillars. Under the pillars, there are two flower beds. Every year, I put seasonal flower pots there with all kinds of colorful flowers. This year, the winter was suprisingly cold, all the flowers went dead. When the spring came, I have planned to buy more flowers. But only until today, I found the energy and time.


I first went to the Summer Wind nursery. Besides the seasonal flowers, I also need to buy some shrubs for the frontyard and the backyard. Tomorrow, my landscaping maintainence company will come and help me to plant the shrubs. But the Summer Wind does not have the good selection for the shrubs. I went to Home Depot instead. An hour later, I came back with the full load of plants in my trunk.


After the shade crept in the front entry way around 6pm, I went outside and started to put the flowers into the two pots I had from the previous years. I got a bag of Organic Potting soil. It felt so good to play with the soil and seeing the flowers putting into the right places. In about an hour also, two pots of colorful flowers stand in front the entry way, with yellow, pink, white, and orange colors. They look so lovely. I then sprayed lots of water to drain the soil for the porting.

Before I went back inside the house, I look at the pots with much of satisfaction. I felt very happy.
