I was not upset, it's funny, as i said before it's good to have you here. I really appreciate it.

If I'm living on the welfare or allowance from the government, as you indicated in your post, I probably won't be here. You are totally off the mark, again. I don't believe that anyone can live a desired life on welfare. It only helps those who are in a real unfavorable condition. And I feel so lucky that I don't need it.
Canada provides everyone the equal opportunity. It's the freedom. It's its tolerance. It's the open minds of her people. It's her readiness to help any country anywhere in the world. It's her willingness to sacrifice when the call comes. It's her persistence to fight for whatever her value holds. It's her open arms to people from Somalia, Croatia, or Afghanistan. It’s her compassion to those not-so-gifted. This is the great things that I appreciate. This is what I mean Canada has given me too much. I'm asking this question to everyone here in Canada, don’t these mean anything to you? Aren’t you taking it for granted?
I have great respect to China, who is running her own course. Beyond that I can't comment further since I've left China for too long. There are many great places on this Earth. My intention is not to offend anyone or any other country they come from. To be appreciative of what Canada provides doesn't mean US is not a great place. It definitely doesn't mean China is not a great place. Let's just be appreciative to what we have no matter which country we are. I believe 北方憨哥在北美 and all those who are appreciative of Canada's healthcare system on this board by no means trying to say or imply anything beyond the boundary of Canada. Correct me if I'm wrong, 北方憨哥在北美, when you get a chance. If you are a Canadian, it doesn't matter you are the first or second generation, let's enjoy being part of this great country as well as working on it.
If you are confused as I am sometimes as to how to contribute to this great country, one way is to vote for the councillor or parliamentarian or provincial legislator who best represents you. You can also be a proud volunteer when you have time. You can also be a person to give even thought we all need ask for help sometimes. It's a great feeling to give, it doesn't matter you are giving to folks in New Orleans or those standing in the corner of a Toronto street. Or you can simply do whatever you feel contributory.
P.S.: Now I also need go back to keep working on my English and my knowledge about Canada. I apologize to anyone who is offended by what I said or what I not said well in English.

To: vincentlu,
That was my reply to 心灵的轨迹. I don't understand why that makes you upset. My intention is not to upset anyone. I was just telling the truth.
Are you and 心灵的轨迹 the same person? Why are you doing this?

I understand you want to make a comment here and you probably cannot type in Chinese, but please please improve your English. I completely lost on this one "To make false statement, to badmouth or to blackmail something so complicated and comprehensive like our health-care system here so lightly make you look stupid. Yes, I'd like to confirm that since you just said so."
I have no comment about the condition and service provided in Chinese hospital. I really can't find anywhere I mentioned China? I never comment on anything that I don't have the latest knowledge.
So that friend of yours (a PHD of Midical Science?) had to 只能跑到比较远的一家医院才做成了手术. What's wrong with that? The first hospital could be over-crowded. Or it could be any other reason. So he/she went to another hospital to get it done. Case closed. What do you want to make out of it? Isn't the other hospital in the same health-care system that you have been trying to badmouth?
To make false statement, to badmouth or to blackmail something so complicated and comprehensive like our health-care system here so lightly make you look stupid. Yes, I'd like to confirm that since you just said so.
What you said simply doesn't make sense. I understand that the doctors here are really hesitant to give out antibiotics due to the concern about the possible drug-resistance buildup in your body, which could be why there is the so-called superbugs. But I never heard that a doctor would not want to provide medical help to someone 痛得打滚. Also you are lying because the doctor would simply tell you to buy some Tylenol instead of 打了止痛针 if he/she believes that would help you. I have to ask you again, why are you lying here?
One more thing that complexes me is overacting and exaggerating. Too often I've heard people saying that you need tell your doctor you are more seriously ill than you are to get some attention. Are these people just being selfish or simply overacting?
One more comment about 草菅人命. Like 北方憨哥在北美 mentioned earlier, there is accident everywhere. But to use that word carelessly would simply compromise your credibility. You just make yourself sound stupid while trying to make sense. You are using that against a health-care system that so many people taking pride of. These people include me, many others on this discussion board, listeners of a talk show I heard in Florida a few years back, people in the other bordering states in the US and all the other Canadians.I would ask myself why I'm so different from so many other people if I were you.
Canada has already given me too much. I don't need to be paid to tell the truth.
That's right you can only go to the hospital. Again the waiting time is based on the seriousness of your illness. All the elections I've seen so far have been focused on the healthcare system if you are aware of. We are working on it to make it better, both Conservatives and Liberals. Be patient to your new country. Be patient to the new folks around you. Believe yourself that the decision you made years ago was one of the best decisions you even made in your life.
To 预约专科, it depends. A friend of mine just did a 肠镜 in Markham only one week after the family doctor told him to do so. It's only one week. Now I had other times that I waited over a month to see a specialist. But I haven't seen anything longer than that. And I'm telling you, it's worth the waiting based on the treatment I had.
I feel bad that you have to go through emergency over the weekend. Wish you the best.
I've been there for my friends or family many times. It's reasonable waiting time based on the seriousness of your illness. I've seen this for ten years myself.
Now let me ask you, have you been there personally or you are just blackmailing with your malcontent? I actually don't believe you have experienced any of this at all. Are you paid to do this?
While not having to be politically correct, when don't I just ask you go back to where you were from.
There is nothing wrong to be appreciative. We are appreciative of everything we have. What's wrong with that. It's what a normal human being would do. You are helping yourself by being appreciative because you'll be happy that way. Stop pretending to being smart. The worst enemy of many new immigrants is they think they are smart or smarter than local Canadians.

While I'm so happy that there are people like 北方憨哥在北美 being appreciative of what we have here, I'm disappointed by many others making baseless judgment. Nobody is saying Canada is perfect, but it's as good as a human society could possibly be. Nobody is saying the health care we have is perfect, but it's as good as a country can possibly provide to her people.
I myself have been to hospital quite a few times for myself or my family. I've been to the clinic many more times. There are rare times I feel like complaining. But thinking back, even those rare times are myself to blame.
The best thing I learned when I got 10 years ago here was something I heard from WNED when one of the hosts says that the world is going to bounce back whatever you give to the world. Nos I don't know this channel is still there. But it's so true that I'd like to share with you here. Ask yourself, are you helping your doctor to understand your illness. Are you helping your nurse to help yourself? Does your doctor understand you?
Remember when you complain the world, it's gonna come back to complain you. And you won't feel you are accepted.
This is a helpful insight into the life of being Canadians. I appreciate your essay.
One more thing to add, in spite of those complains, have you heard any politician daring to say they want to switch to the US style health-care system? They would be sent to prison. It's the proud of Canada. It's what many country should learn from Canada.
