回复狮王传说的评论:
About the Dalai's statement of killing 1.2 million, please check this out: A Yale scholar about Tibet
http://www.michaelparenti.org/Tibet.html
The paragraph about the population:
Both the Dalai Lama and his advisor and youngest brother, Tendzin Choegyal, claimed that “more than 1.2 million Tibetans are dead as a result of the Chinese occupation.”36 The official 1953 census--six years before the Chinese crackdown--recorded the entire population residing in Tibet at 1,274,000.37 Other census counts put the population within Tibet at about two million. If the Chinese killed 1.2 million in the early 1960s then almost all of Tibet, would have been depopulated, transformed into a killing field dotted with death camps and mass graves--of which we have no evidence. The thinly distributed Chinese force in Tibet could not have rounded up, hunted down, and exterminated that many people even if it had spent all its time doing nothing else.
This is how I refute this from another way:
Follow his assumption, and lead to another ridiculous OR impossible conclusion. According to Michael, Tibetan’s population in 1950s was 1.27 million. If 1.2 were killed, then only 0.07 million left. And Tibetan’s population is 2.5 million now. (How much percentage is Tibetan? I don’t know. We need to look it up.) Let’s say 2 million is Tibetan (I think that’s probably a conservative estimation.), that means in 50 years (approximately 2.5 generations). Tibetan’s population went up from 0.07 million to 2 million, increased nearly 30 times, is it possible? I mean consider the high mortality rate of newborn, short longevity and poor economy in Tibet, can somebody tell me it’s possible? Let’s say if it were possible, sometime miracle did happen, that Tibetan’s population increased 30 times in 50 yrs, doesn’t it su
ggest that central government must have treated Tibetan ridiculously well? Dalai should have been more careful when he pulled a number out of thin air.

Unless you have met Dalai Lama in person and you know him in person, otherwise, you are in no position to say about him one way or another because whatever you say about him is what you read on the web, what you hear from your friends, what you read from the media ...
Do not forward any articles unless you have verified yourselves that they are TRUE.

· On immediate steps the Chinese government could take in Tibet and allegations that he instigated the riots:
"Open to the world. Allow visitors, particularly media people. Let them go there, see the actual situation. ... If people found that all this trouble (was) created by me by outside, then I'm waiting for punishment."
· On Tibetans and China:
"A Tibetan should be a citizen of the People's Republic of China. I mean, a happy citizen of the People's Republic of China. I always feel remaining separate, weak, poor. Instead of that, join thousands of millions of people. Prosperity, dignity. Much better."

On what Chinese government should do to help resolve issue of Tibet - His Holiness responded by saying - "you can help". China continues to claim that the dialogue could begin if the Dalai Lama stops independence activities, while the whole world knows I am not seeking independence, His Holiness said.
...
For Tibet, separation and independence does not conform to the reality, as Tibetans and Chinese have lived side by side for over a thousand years, His Holiness said. Citing example of the European Union, His Holiness underlined that it is in the better interest of Tibetans to remain within the People's Republic of China.

Please read this, Dalai Lama is NOT seeking separation from China, do not put word in his mouth:

Question: Do you think you will ever be able to return to Tibet?
Answer: Yes, I remain optimistic that I will be able to return to Tibet. China is in the process of changing. If you compare China today to ten or twenty years ago, there is tremendous change. China is no longer isolated. It is part of the world community. Global interdependence, especially in terms of economics and environment make it impossible for nations to remain isolated. Besides, I am not seeking separation from China. I am committed to my middle-way approach whereby Tibet remains within the People's Republic of China enjoying a high degree of self-rule or autonomy. I firmly believe that this is of mutual benefit both to the Tibetans as well as to the Chinese. We Tibetans will be able to develop Tibet with China's assistance, while at the same time preserving our own unique culture, including spirituality, and our delicate environment. By amicably resolving the Tibetan issue, China will be able to contribute to her own unity and stability.
To support your view of Dalai Lama is a political tool for western countries, better to reveal how much money he collects from those countries each year, and how he spends it.
Please leave "密宗的欢喜佛是藏传佛教的另一个秘密。现在不知有多少女信徒被上师借修炼为名,遭受毒手。台湾刚刚发生了一例。以后学习藏传密宗的要小心了。" out! There are bad apples in every religion. "欢喜佛" doesn't mean anything physical.
