Update on Donation drive for China Earthquake Relief:
Dear friends,
I’m deeply moved by your support and generosity! I have collected $1100 at Waltham site and our corporation will donate $500 as well! I have sent the checks to US Red Cross yesterday! Your kindness and caring will be heartily felt by all Chinese people!
For those of you who donated with check, please keep your cancelled check as receipt; for those who donated cash, I have written a personal check in the same amount, and will give you the cancelled check for your record.
As a small thank you token, please join me for a slice of lemon cake in the kitchen.
Thank you very much and with love,
xx
Letter for the Donation drive for China Earthquake Relief at my current site:
My dearest friends,
As many of you already knew, that the massive earth quake has left 15,000 dead, 26,000 buried under debris in Sichuan, China.
- NEW: 26,000 still buried under debris and 14,000 missing, reports say
- Quake death toll soars to nearly 15,000, according to state media
- About three-quarters of one town's residents killed, state media says
- Soldiers reach epicenter of quake in Wenchuan county in Sichuan province
I came from Sichuan to USA 15 years ago. Very fortunately that my husband’s family and my family members are OK, Thank god! Currently, my brother, my sister, my cousins and my aunts and uncles are working 24-7 on the rescue frontier. But my heart is bleeding while my people are still trapped under debris. I am going to start a donation drive at Waltham location. I ask for your help: please help us to rescue and to rebuild. A $50 donation will provide a survivor one month of living supplies.
Please write a check to “ US Red Cross”, and in the memo with “China Earthquake Relief”, your donation is tax deductible. I’ll collect the checks and seek for a company match.
I thank you for your kindness and generosity!
