red this one and you will feel sad again:
http://upiasiaonline.com/Politics/2008/05/16/a_real_voice_from_chinas_earthquake_zone/4374/
it says:
"at the school where his aunt lost her daughter, the only two surviving students were actually kept for a moment within the debris in order for the state-run China Central Television to take their shots. Those pictures were then repeatedly broadcast. The TV skated over the fact that 300 students remained buried."
there are lots of brain dead people in CCTV, somehow i agree with CNN's comments.........
I agree wholeheartedly with every thing you say here.
The builders and the relevant government agencies must be held accountable for the lives lost in the collapsed buildings that didn't meet the building standards. They are, to say the least, the accomplice of the earthquake that took the lives of hundreds and thorounds of people. The children burried dead in the rubbles of collapsed substandard school buildings were murdered by the builder who sought profits at the expense of the quality and the corrupted government officials who failed to enforce the school building standards. They were murdered.
I just think that we cannot let only the parents who lost their children fight alone to bring those responsible to justice. This time, it's their child being murdered. Next time, it might be your.
strongly agree, although chinese government should also look into setting up a better monitoring system to reduce the chance of corruption and enforce the standards of construction.
