When I tried to pick out the Father's Day card two weeks ago, I fell in love with this one right away. Somehow the words and the picture of this big guy bending down to tie his son's shoes touched my heart.

It reminded me of my husband. I feel very thankful to have his help along the way to bring up our children.  Ever since our kids were born, he has really bent down to help from changing the diaper, feeding the food, playing with them, reading them stories to packing lunch for their summer camp. He has been very supportive of me and took care of the children when I was away to China/>/> or on business trips. He has this ability to take both of them go shopping in the mall even when they were both little which generally the idea itself would make me feel stressed J (Evan hid in the clothes rack on purpose one time which scared me to death).

He is a friend of our children.  He encourages our children to try new things and comfort them when they are sad and frustrated. He has a chat time with Olivia every night before she goes to sleep. They talk about what happened that day in her life, things made her happy and things bothered her. He gives advices to them and teaches them the values we want our children to have.

I am not saying he is a perfect parent. I think both of us have a lot to lean and improve as parents but he is hands on, he makes the effort. On this Father's Day, I want to let him know that I appreciate everything he does for our children. Our children love him and they are lucky to have him in their lives as he is a great dad!
