So it came to an end, the extraordinary 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.

The past two weeks have been very exciting, with the first half highlighted by Michael Phelps and 2nd half highlighted by Eusain Bolt, not to mention the unprecedent opening ceremony which stroke the whole world in awe. 2008 Beijing Olympics is a huge success in many perspectives from the opening ceremony, to the 40 new world records and 120 new Olympic records set by the great performances of athletes from all over the world.

China/>/> had demonstrated to the world that it has lived up its commitments to the Olympic Games reached its goal of celebrating the greatness of the sport and humanity. There were many touching moments during the past 17 days right from the opening ceremony that made me emotional and what Beijing/>/> has accomplished is magnificent. I have never been so proud of my hometown!

Having lived in US for over a decade, I didn't expect I would strongly favor China/>/> over US as in general, I am in favor for whoever puts up a good fight against the odds in the competition, no matter how strong their opponents are. But once the game started, I found myself constantly use the words "You" and "Us" when I talked about the games with my American friends and it was just so obvious that I rooted for China/>/>.

Daddy had made the exception regarding TV watching for the kids during the Olympics. They were allowed to watch TV every night as long as they watched Olympics and I think Olivia has learned a thing or two about various sports and got to know some super stars.

As far as competition for gold between US and China/>/>, it came down to me against the rest of the three. You would hear Olivia saying: "So you got more gold medals than us?" Sometimes this "You" "We" conversations are quite amusing. And of course, mommy laughed to the endJ.
