look, he broke his wedding vow, he cheated, he broke their hearts, and he abandoned. he made a choice, and he followed thru. he was selfish, undignified, and pardon me for stating the obvious, he was also a moron. there is a time when ANYONE knows, enough is enough. i don't understand why you're stating versus from the bible, what for? to teach us what love is? to teach us God loves us? what IS your point?
we love, because god loved us first. that is not to say we can love all around us like how god loves us. we are not god, we cannot act just like god, and it is both unwise and unrealistic to ask one or expect to act like God. we are his children, and yet we are still in training. so before you carry on with another verse from the bible stating how God loves us, or how we should love, think about this for a minute,
God, our heavenly father, loves us unconditional. we, human beings, as much as we'd like to be as close as to his image, are not. God forgives, when we bring ourselves to him and ask for forgiveness truly and wholeheartedly. and that is something he have failed to do this whole time.
so, Theoretically speaking, God have not forgive him yet.
and frankly, i haven't found the reason why i personally should.
This chapter is so heavy, I can’t find the most proper words to express my feeling. His irresponsible behavior has hurt his wife, his daughter and finally himself. He also brought to this world an innocent life who can’t have a normal environment to grow up in. We do a lot of things without thinking what would be the consequences. Men are impulsive by nature; they won’t listen to anybody in the middle of things. They think they have the right to do what they are doing; only to find out it has cost him the most important thing in life. Yes, we all have sins, I am not a church goer, but I have my own GOD in heart and I have the bottom line which stops me from doing things that may sound interesting or even amazing at the moment but is really wrong. If because we have sins, we have to forgive those who have cost so much pain for nice people like Qiutang and her daughter, aren’t we encouraging Puzhongcheng and Yeni? Do you really think by forgiving them will make this world better? 邻家玉妹, If your husband is doing the same to you, or your Mom, your daughter can you still be this forgiving? I know my heart goes to Qiutang and Xiaohua. I hope they will have a peaceful better life (I would pray for them). We are all responsible for our own behavior and we have to face the consequences. So Pu and Ye should be facing theirs too.
I pray for QiuTang to live happily ever after her divorce.

Tragedy, tragedy. It has made me so sad reading it. I wonder if the end will be entirely different if 秋棠 were to have a son instead. On the other hand, having a smart and strong daughter has helped her to be rid of the selfish husband faster, which may be better for her anyway.
