我朋友joked with colleague at the parking lot

at around 12:30pm today: if the company wants to lay me off, i wish they tell me earlier so that I could enjoy the rest of this nice day... the colleague laughed: yes, u r right.

then at around 1:30pm, my friend got that that colleague got laid off this afternoon...
