Beijing Botanic Garden is a part of Xiangshan Park. It was built around 1955. See the link. http:// www.kinabaloo.com/botanic_garden.html. Wuofuosi is there. Entrance fee is 45 yuan and the butterfly museum is another 30 yuan. Transportation to the garden is very cheap. A 30-40 minute trip by a bus costs only 40 fen from downtown Beijing.
The butterfly museium consists of three parts: an exhibition, a butterfly house and a souvenir shop. There are maybe over a hudred butterflies but they are only from few species in the butterly house. It is a temerature controlled house. There are also some other insects like mantis, beetle, scorpion and lizard (not a big collection). In the souvenir shop, you could also buy some real butterflies (not alive) not exhibited in the museum (they are really beautiful).
Not so many visitors there, probably due to its entrance fee. In its souvenir shop, you could also buy some butterflies (not alive).

2. Originally I thought all butterflies in the same species are the same. I realized I was wrong. Which one is prettier? I don't know the answer.

4. This leaf-like insect, I don't know its name (I could not find this in my DK animal book).
