At this time, WHO considers the overall severity of the influenza pandemic to be moderate. This assessment is based on scientific evidence available to WHO, as well as input from its Member States on the pandemic's impact on their health systems, and their social and economic functioning.
The moderate assessment reflects that:
1.Most people recover from infection without the need for hospitalization or medical care.
2.Overall, national levels of severe illness from influenza A(H1N1) appear similar to levels seen during local seasonal influenza periods, although high levels of disease have occurred in some local areas and institutions.
3.Overall, hospitals and health care systems in most countries have been able to cope with the numbers of people seeking care, although some facilities and systems have been stressed in some localities.

forgot mentioning that many years ago, all of those who carried PRC passports needed to have HIV test after landing in the motherland with paying 100-200 yuan. In contrast, others not holding a PRC passport were exempted,despite they had higher risks of having HIV. Did a passport act as a condom? you answer it. How could our fellow managers discriminate our own Chinese? Absrd! Again stupid did stupid things! history repeat and repeat unless system changes.

no evidence supporting infection within 3 rows is higher than beyond the rows in an airplane. This stupid practice is absurd. Have they identified more cases of infection using the practice? Stupid people do stupid things, but they thought they are doing good things. They should show how many of those who have closely contacted with the H1N1-infected people get the infection. Lots of reasons for fever, how could one mechanically deduce to the risk of infection with H1N1? Where are the scientists or medical experts in China? Again, H1N1 is less virulent than regular flu virus. One would see how stupid politicians or high level managers rape or look down scientific evidence. oh, my motherland! when will you be under the management of reasonable people with logistic rules?
