Well, apparently, China on Tuesday announced it would indefinitely postpone a mandate requiring all personal computers sold in the country to be accompanied by a controversial content-filtering application.
So much for Green Dam. -- Yes, it\'s a crappy piece of software; yes, it\'s wrong to mandate a 3rd party software to be installed on all new computers sold, effectively create a monopoly. But, man, you gotta admire CNN.com\'s practice of Yellow Journalism.
On their headlines page, it says China mandates filters on new computers; the title of the article says Report: China extends deadline on filtering software; and when you dig into the article for the deadline, you finally get the fact that there\'s no deadline, it\'s been indefinitely [postponed].
VERY nice.
