Japan Trip (June 20- June 28)

Day 1 (June 20): flew to Japan. When I was booking the ticket, I was curious about special the meals on the plane - so I selected vegetarian food. The service on JAL was good. The flight was long - almost 9 hours but still shorter than flying to China. Regret ordering vegetarian meal - no choice at all, they only 1 selection of vegi meal. But the regular meal has more choice. You do get the special meal ahead of everyone else.Day 2(June 21): arrived Japan Tokyo at 2:30 pm in the afternoon. Picked up the cell phone. After the 7 days trip, I realized that Tokyo airport is the best place to exchange USD into Yen. They have better rate than the hotel, not all banks can exchange USD.Took the airport Limousine to the Hotel -- long long ride, it's rush hour even it was a Saturday. We checked into Hilton - really nice hotel. We are going to stay here for 2 nights. The suite costs 30,000 Yen/night. Regular price 60,000 Yen, we got a deal for 2nd night free. Our relative in Japan came around 7:30pm, we went to for dinner by having hot pot and tried Japanese Mango plum wine - delicious. Hugely expense, it costs 23,000 Yen for 6 people that night.Day 3: Slept well last night - probably because being exhausted and did not sleep much on the plane.Had a big breakfast at the hotel - very very happy about free meal. they have lots of selections in Tokyo Hilton. Went to 政府大楼 in the morning.Took the subway to 雷门,it's close to 上野公园 . It was rainy. We went to lunch place that Lonely Planet recommended. it was so so. We had Tempura Udon - 1300 Yen.Went to Sony building and bought a pair of ear headset.5:00pm, started the trip back to the hotel.Passed by a video game room: very loud and noisy, curious, walked in and walked around. All age group, generally older people, 40 and 50 years old, no cute girls or handsome guys.We went to a place called - Oto-oto for dinner. We were amazed by the presentation of the food. They look really pretty. Of course, as the tourists, we took pictures.
