火车蛋糕和火鸡cookie

我们家小朋友三岁了,昨天和他一起做了个火车蛋糕。他是Thomas的大扇子,可惜我没本事做Thomas, 做了个比较简单的。虽然我平时还挺喜欢烤个cookie啥的,不过蛋糕装饰一点都不懂,买来的icing特别硬特别粘,很难抹开,估计是买错东西了,搞得比较恶心。




底用的是buttermilk pound cake, 超简单,要做两个
Ingredients
3 cups all-purpose flour 1/4 teaspoon baking soda 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 cup butter 3 cups white sugar 6 eggs 1 teaspoon lemon extract 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup buttermilk


Directions
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Grease one 9 or 10 inch tube pan. Mix together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside. In a large bowl, beat butter with sugar. Mix in the eggs, one at time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the lemon and the vanilla extracts. Gently mix in flour mixture alternately with the buttermilk. Pour batter into the prepared pan.
Bake in preheated oven for 90 minutes. Do not open oven door until after one hour. When cake begins to pull away from the side of the pan it is done. Let cool in pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack and cool completely.



前两天和小朋友一起作的火鸡cookie
Plain Sugar cookie做底。加热一块巧克力,微波炉40-60秒,让小朋友把cookie放进巧克力盆里dip一下,拿出来。放上candy corn和m&m, 放到冰箱里1个小时就好了


同样的plain sugar cookie, 用手形cookie cutter切好, Michael's里有$0.79一个。巧克力里dip一下,要是大小朋友就可以用塑料刀了, 效果会更好点。撒上sprinkle, 最后用icing尾巴上画两条,加上眼睛。放到冰箱里一个小时


my favorite plain sugar cookie recipe

2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup butter, softened
1 1/2 cups white sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). In a small bowl, stir together flour, baking soda, and baking powder. Set aside.

In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in egg and vanilla. Gradually blend in the dry ingredients. Roll rounded teaspoonfuls of dough into balls, and place onto ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until golden. Let stand on cookie sheet two minutes before removing to cool on wire racks.
