Joe Mama and I ventured over to Chicago’s famous “Little India” neighborhood last Saturday to take some photos for my photography class (Due to the recent departure of my blographer – carrie, Lovehandle is forced to DIY her own photos for the blog.) We stepped out the car and immediately our plan of “let’s take some colorful pictures of Devon avenue” turned into “Holy sh*t, it’s too cold! Let’s go eat at
Ravi Kebabo House instead!”
The delicious food at the restaurant just hit the spot.
Keema Naan Leavened bread of fine flour stuffed with cooked ground beef baked in Tandoor (Clay Oven)
Beef Kebab Naan Roll Sliced beef marinated in our special spices, cooked to perfection on hot plate with onion, garlic and ginger, served with lettuce, onion and raita in a naan roll
Goat Biryani Basmati rice and goat meat with special biryani spices cooked to perfection
After we recharged (full and warm), Joe Mama and I walked to the Indi/Pakistani grocery store across the street. Lovehandle was immediately drawn by piles of the exotic fresh produce - bitter melon, indian eggplant...etc. mm... What's for dinner?
