In the IIHS's 2010 top safety car list, there's not even one Toyota.
In the JD Power dependability survey each year, Toyota is only ranked from No. 4 to No. 7, behind Buick (No. 1 in the most recent list), Cadillac, Mercury and Lincoln many times.
Consumer Reports is a joke. It's obviously biased and its survey method is flawed. It survey's its readers. People who do not agree with their bias won't renew the subscription thus won't be included in the survey. It's like a Republican publication survey's its reader about which party is better and you know what the answer will be.
Many Chinese in the US are brainwashed by Toyota and do not even know it. People in other places are not so easily fooled. Toyota does not even have one car on the top 10 list in China (now the biggest auto market) and Europe.

What a BS! Where did you you get the idea that the American cars are designed for 100k miles and 10 years? Show me the proof.
GM's power chain warranty is 100k mile! How can someone to design a car to run 100k miles while guarantee it to 100k miles?
My Ford Mustang had 220k miles and 24 years on it when I sold it and it still ran well. I only did small repairs like belts and hoses on it.
Don't make such stupid claims in the public. You can well keep it to yourself.
