It is hard to believe
The story you told me.
As this is the land of Opportunity
And Equality.
At least it is said so in the Constitution .

As a hard-working member
Of the U-family,
After so many productive years
Still receiving "minimum wage,"
While all your colleagues
Are making around 15% more
Than that on average.
Something is inherently wrong;
And you've got the right
To request a correction.

No, you're not "greedy."
You're just asking for what's reasonable.
You deserve the same treatment
I say, as every one of your colleagues,
Regardless of their skin color.

Do as you would be done by!

I wish what happend to you
Was a bad joke
That one'd just laugh away.
But who could
At such unfairness
In a place that teaches social justice?
