I am glad that I take actions to get chances to practice my English.
I made several calls about my applications to the volunteer jobs in the hospital and senior center but did not get answers. Then I called a church that is in walking distance from my house and asked for a volunteer opportunity. I did not get any from the church but knew that I can join in a bible study tomorrow morning and be a volunteer in the affiliated preschool that Flora goes to everyday after the bible study. Furthermore, I will join in an advanced ESL class in the local adult school in the Fall semester. Also, I posted ad on craigslist to get a private English tutor for helping my oral and written English. I've gotten more than 8 candidates. It is hard for me to determine who is the best.
I feel good that I do not have to study alone anymore.
