I have always been wondering that how come people could like/love Peking Opera that sort of strange and "dilapidating" art. :) Besides marred by my bad taste and ignorance, I blame the whole society and my era which provided us with very little chance and time to develop and acquire interests for a supposedly brilliant art form, yet at the same time, open a flood gate of choices of entertaining platforms such as video games, pop music concerts, internet just name few. :) My take is that Shanghai Peking Opera House may try to defibrillate its programs and purport its new blood, but lack of continuous surly of fresh new audiences may tamper its own efforts in time. Just be fair, Opera, the very gem of the western classical music also faces the same peril as well. :(
Please don't feel "weird" about the gradual shift of your taste/appreciation over men. To make you feel better, statics show when many men reach certain age range, they often find themselves to be attracted by “young thing”. So in some sense, nature gets its way to keep the score even. :)
I thought that you may leverage your super culinary skills to make some delicious homemade moon cakes for us.
Welcome back and happy Mid Autumn Festival 2011 to you and all others regulars. :))
