秦立巍，1976年生于上海13岁时移居澳大利亚。1995年获得英国皇家音乐学院奖学金，赴皇家北方音乐学院师从著名大提琴家拉夫·柯西勃姆。学习期间曾赢得了许多音乐比赛奖项。2001年，他被英国BBC广播公司评为“新一代艺术家”的称号。秦立巍作为大提琴独奏家，先后与英国皇家利物浦爱乐乐团、英国皇家苏格兰国家交响乐团、BBC爱乐乐团、BBC苏格兰交响乐团、伦敦独奏家交响乐团、波地莫室内乐团、俄罗斯国家交响乐团、墨尔本交响乐团、悉尼交响乐团、BBC威尔士国家交响乐团、捷克布拉格交响乐团、柏林广播交响乐团、中国爱乐乐团、中国国家交响乐团合作演出。目前，秦立巍是英国皇家北方音乐学院的大提琴教授。他所演奏的瓜纳利大提琴是澳大利亚政府为嘉奖秦立巍近年来杰出成就而供他使用的名琴。(摘自网络）
