In 1994, he ran for Senator of Massachusetts and lost to Ted Kennedy.
He was President and CEO of the 2002 Winter Olympic Games.
In 2002, he was elected Governor of the State of Massachusetts where he eliminated a 1.5 billion deficit.
Some Interesting Facts about Romney:
Bain Capital, starting with one small office supply store in Massachusetts, turned it into Staples; now over 2,000 stores employing 90,000 people.
Bain Capital also worked to perform the same kinds of business miracles again and again, with companies like Domino's, Sealy, Brookstone, Weather Channel, Burger King, Warner Music Group, Dollarama, Home Depot Supply, and many others.
He was an unpaid volunteer campaign worker for his dad's gubernatorial campaign 1 year.
He was an unpaid intern in his dad's governor's office for eight years.
He was an unpaid bishop and state president of his church for ten years.
He was an unpaid President of the Salt Lake Olympic Committee for three years.
He took no salary and was the unpaid Governor of Massachusetts for four years.
He gave his entire inheritance from his father to charity.
Mitt Romney is one of the wealthiest self-made men in our country but has given more back to its citizens in terms of money, service and time than most men.
And in 2011 Mitt Romney gave over $4 million to charity, almost 19% of his income.... Just for comparison purposes, Obama gave 1% and Joe Biden gave $300 or .0013%
Mitt Romney's background, experience and trustworthiness show him to be a great leader and an excellent citizen for President of the United States.
You may think that Romney may not be the best representative the Republicans could have selected. At least I know what religion he is, and that he won't desecrate the flag, bow down to foreign powers, or practice fiscal irresponsibility. I know he has the ability to turn this financial debacle that the current regime has gotten us into. We won't like all the things necessary to recover from this debt, but someone with Romney's background can do it.
But, on the minus side, He never was a "Community Organizer", never took drugs or smoked pot, did not associate with communists or terrorists, nor did he attend a Black segregated church for twenty plus years whose pastor called for God to damn America, especially White America.
November 6th, 2012, save our American Republic by voting for Mitt Romney !
对于这次的大选,我只看两人的履历和能给我的家庭带来的冲击。 我知道过去的四年给我们带来的是越来越多的吃福利的懒人,我这个中产阶级的负担越来越沉重。 我不想再为别人而负重了! We need change!

Remember the promise President Obama made just after his inauguration in 2009? “Transparency and the rule of law will be the touchstones of this presidency.”........
Instead, Americans have suffered through lies, stonewalling, cover-ups, corruption, secrecy, scandal and blatant disregard for the rule of law…this has been the Obama legacy for the last four years....
“A few of the sentiments have some link to reality – Obama did order the raid to kill bin Laden, and he did oppose Guantanamo, even though he ultimately failed to carry through on his promise to close it. The critics may have wished Obama had made these statements, but appears the statements have no basis in reality. It's clear from our research that all six quotes are fabrications. Once again a widely circulated chain e-mail is spreading ridiculous falsehoods about Obama. We rate this e-mail Pants on Fire.”

The Romney Turnaround — The Republican has adapted as a candidate to offer genuine change that meets the political moment. From WSJ, Nov. 2, 2012
Perhaps Mr. Romney's most appealing trait is his optimism: We have problems, a whole lot of them, but they are solvable. Americans have always believed that. Yet the sentiment seems unusual given the current President who won with large Democratic majorities but has spent four years blaming his predecessors for every ill as if they are intractable.
Mr. Romney has treated voters like adults and offered them a true choice about the future. He is promising change, and for once that abused term doesn't mean for the worse.

How Far Obama Has Fallen-From historic figure to beleaguered incumbent in less than four years,by PEGGY NOONAN, WSJ, Nov. 1
"Look at where he started, placing his hand on the Bible Abe Lincoln was sworn in on in 1861. It was Jan. 20, 2009. The new president was 47 and in the kind of position politicians can only dream of—a historic figure walking in, the first African-American president, broadly backed by the American people. He won by 9.5 million votes. Two days after his inauguration, Gallup had him at 68% approval, only 12% disapproval. He had a Democratic Senate, and for a time a cloture-proof 60 members. He had a Democratic House (256-178) with a colorful, energetic speaker. The mainstream media were excited about him, supportive of him.
His political foes were demoralized, their party fractured."
Look what he is now:
"He had so much confidence, he thought whatever he did would work. He thought he had "a gift," as he is said to have told Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid. He thought he had a special ability to sway the American people.
But whenever he went over the the heads of the media and Congress and went to the people, in prime-time addresses, it didn't really work. He did not have a magical ability to sway. And—oddly—he didn't seem to notice.
And that really was the problem: He had the confidence without the full capability. It is a mystery why the president didn't second-guess himself more, doubt himself. Instead he kept going forward as if it were working.
Or maybe, conversely, they'll think he failed to slow the oceans' rise.
Killing Bin Laden? He deserves as much credit for that as Bush does. Obama voted against using our military now he takes credit for something good someone ELSE had the fortitude to start? Classless.
2008Obama: "Navy Seal Team 6 is Cheney's private assassination team."
2011Obama: "I put together Seal Team 6 to take out Bin Laden."
2008Obama: "Bin Laden is innocent until proven guilty, and must be captured alive and given a fair trial."
2011Obama: "I authorized Seal Team 6 to kill Bin Laden."
2008Obama: "Guantanamo is entirely unnecessary, and the detainees should not be interrogated."
2011Obama: "Vital intelligence was obtained from Guantanamo detainees that led to our locating Bin Laden."
2006Obama: "Raising the debt limit is a sign of poor leadership.
2009, 2010, 2011, 2012Obama: Raising the debt limit is necessary to achieve my (SOCIALIST) agenda
“we've heard my former pastor, Reverend Jeremiah Wright, use incendiary language to express views that have the potential not only to widen the racial divide, but views that denigrate both the greatness and the goodness of our nation; that rightly offend white and black alike.I have already condemned, in unequivocal terms, the statements of Reverend Wright that have caused such controversy. For some, nagging questions remain. Did I know him to be an occasionally fierce critic of American domestic and foreign policy? Of course. Did I ever hear him make remarks that could be considered controversial while I sat in church? Yes. Did I strongly disagree with many of his political views? Absolutely - just as I'm sure many of you have heard remarks from your pastors, priests, or rabbis with which you strongly disagreed.”
Democrats have a long and shameful history of racism and resisting Civil Rights that carries on today.
1. The group that supported slave states and the institution were the democrats.
2. The group that fought the freeing of Blacks and the gains they made during Reconstruction were the democrats.
3. The group that created the KKK were democrats.
4. The group that enacted Jim Crow and the Black Codes designed to keep the Blacks down were the Democrats.
5. Woodrow Wilson, a democrat, re-segregated the army prior to WW I.
6. Democrats imprisoned all Japanese Americans during WW II.
7. The group that resisted Civil Rights Act of 1957 & 1960 was Democrats.
8. The group that resisted Civil Rights Act of 1964 was Democrats.
By the way, Martin Luther King was a Republican!

ANYONE who votes based on race is a RACIST!
But 90% of blacks will vote for Obama. And they dont call it racism.
Romneys companies provide things called jobs to blacks. What do Obama's companies provide to Blacks?
Romney is offering something to ALL American communities, not just a population that wants to segregate itself. Opportunity's door is open to those who seek it, and it's up to each person to put forth individual effort.
If Obama and the democrats are for the blacks so much then why is unemployment 13.4 % for the blacks and the national unemployment is 7.8% ?
Out of the last 20 years 12 years there has been a Democrat president. Congress has been dominated by democrats for the last 50 years except for 6 years.

By the way, I don't think 楼主 is a racist, either. He just stated the facts. Those who thinks 楼主 is a racist should read some speeches by Bill Cosby on this subject. If he were not black himself, he would be considered a racist just because of being outspoken of plain facts.

So you think 黑人站在你这边? It is strange, indeed. Chinese Americans are neither white nor black. Unfortunately I voted for Obama in 2008, so I am not a racist.
This time we just need to vote for the president who is sensible and can do the job, not someone who can just talk and has proved that he does not fit the position at all. The answer is very clear to me, so Romney is the choice in 2012!

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Thursday shows Mitt Romney attracting support from 49% of voters nationwide, while President Obama earns the vote from 47%. One percent (1%) prefers some other candidate, and three percent (3%) remain undecided.
As governor, Mitt Romney worked with Democrats to close a $3 billion deficit, balance four budgets while cutting taxes 19 times, create tens of thousands of new jobs, and lower the Massachusetts unemployment rate to 4.7 percen.
I am registered independand, voted Obama 08,was very dissapointed with his lies, cover-ups and failure to do as he promised in his 08 campaign, and will vote Romney 2012 because i believe he is the far better candidate for our country.
When Romney came into office Massachusetts was last place in job creation. When he last office Massachusetts was 28th. The 4 year average was 47th. Yet the press only uses the 47th place number.
