I am a fiscally conservative too! I like a balanced approach to the problem though because a sudden drastic cut of spending will trigger a economic recession which will in turn, worsen the situation. That is why we need a Republican party that can be reasoned with... I do not want to see a one party White House, Congress and Senate at all...

The USA national debt is about $16,158,000,000,000 (It goes up faster than anyone can track in real time) This is unsustainable.
We must reject the notion of running a country on increasing debt. We are putting future generations into debt for our current needs, without any remorse on Washington's part.
Eventually the people lending us money will become concerned about our long-term viability, and at that point they will not lend us any more money.
When that happens, if the government is still unwilling to live within their means, the Treasury WILL start PRINTING MONEY to cover our spending habit.
The unfettered printing of money leads to the devaluation of that currency, which will lead to a worthless dollar and enormous inflation.
When this happens, and it will unless we become fiscally conservative, the United States is DOOMED.

I think that you misunderstood what I meant. The White House's blueprint is just a starting point for negotiation. And that is why a reasonable Republican party is very important for balance of power. The White House's blueprint is not expected to pass as soon as it is proposed. The negotiating process turned to an ugly partisan fight which nearly ruined America's good credit. Also, if anyone ever lived in Communist China, you got be kidding saying that Obama is a Marxist.

Bornfree, why was obama's budget voted down 97-0? Looks like even democrats know he is a Marxist.
A budget resolution based on President Obama’s 2013 budget failed to get any votes in the Senate .
In a 99-0 vote, all of the senators present rejected the president’s blueprint. It’s the second year in a row the Senate has voted down Obama’s budget.
Obama's 2012 budget failed 97 to 0 last May after Obama himself last April said he wanted deeper deficit cuts.
The House earlier this year unanimously rejected Obama's budget.

回复cu29的评论: Having some level of debts is not necessary a bad thing as long as you have perfect credit. The fundamentals of the US economy is sound. The debt crisis here is largely self inflected. I think the reason that Republicans lost the election is that the Republicans really turned American voters off during last year's budget and debt ceiling fight between the Congress and the White House. What the voters saw then is a Republican party hijacked by the Tea Partiers, unwilling to comprise anything even it means to put America in harm's way.

It is easier to get your business back on track if you don't get a trillion dollar loan to pay back. If you can't pay your bills already and you take out a loan to purchase something, How are you going to pay your bills and make the payments on your loan too? Our government can't even figure this out.
