To My Old Cars

Still remember how each one of you
took me through, mostly the joys
The delight of the first date
the awe of no gas
a few no start and  jump start
a few shocking accidents
all those scenes still come by sometimes
I did grind my teeth to decide
whether to let you go or not
as if each one of you were my pets
I did complain about some of you occasionally
on the noise or comfort level
but I lived through all of them
Some of you saw my new born, throwing up and growing up
laughs and tears, even learn how to drive with you
Hope I took good care of you as much as I could afford
Thank you all to grow older with me
You know it is the only the matter of time
before I join you all in the junk yard
or a pile of dirt
