我的 iPad mini失而复得记

我的iPad mini在咖啡店丢失，三个星期后在警察和咖啡店员的帮助下完璧归赵，经历非常奇特，以下是我给警察局写的感谢信:

"When the time I lost my iPad mini, I prayed to God to help me relocate it, but my faith was so small, I did not think I would see my iPad again!"

On May 1st, I went to Tim Hortons to buy a coffee, I accidentally left my iPad mini on the counter. After 1-2 minutes, I realized and rushed to the counter but it was gone! I asked the cashier, she did not see it. I talked to store manager, he reviewed the security video and told me a lady took it on the counter and left the store. I was so devastated and called the police.

Peel Police responded to my call so quickly, they sent Officer Dawson to the store, he did a very detailed investigation with me and reviewed the tape with store manager, he opened a case for me and explained the actions they were going to take. It was first time I asked the help from police since I came to Canada 1997. I was amazed that police are so nice and friendly. even when we both realized the possibility of finding it was so slim, the experience was really great!

I used my iPad daily, and after two weeks, I bought an identical one again as replacement.

Three weeks after the incident, I got a phone call from police Officer Ferraro while I was at work, she told me that they found my iPad, I just could't believe my ears! I shared the good news with my colleagues, they all hoorayed for such an amazing news. I went to police station to pick it up the past Saturday, I asked Officer Ferraro how they found my Mini, she said the lady came back to store again, and the store employee recognized her, he recorded her car plate number and called police. Ferraro added: it is very rare that your case can be solved, if the lady did not return back to the store, if the employee did not recognize her, it won't happen. Wow, what an amazing chain of events!

Yesterday, I went to Apple Store to return my replaced Mini, the Store employee asked me the reason to return, I shared my story of lost and found, he said: you are really a lucky person, I will definitely share the story with my colleagues!
