烟雨小蛮腰

二沙头，是广州市的珠江上的一个屿洲，曾经是体育集训基地，训练过许多中华奥运健儿，今天许多体育用品商店集中在这里。

广州塔被大众昵称为“小蛮腰”，是今天广州地标建筑，在二沙头岛上的烟雨路上看到的“小蛮腰”更加妖娆。

烟雨路来到海山街，有一个文化街区。海山街珠江边有星海音乐厅，星海音乐厅周围有风雅的西餐厅，有广东艺术馆，还有广东华侨博物馆。图片为广东华侨博物馆内大厅，大厅内有古老远洋木船模型。回国路过广州，不妨抽空到此一游。

Nevada Salutes Chinese Pioneers During Centennial Celebrations

The State of Nevada of the United States last week paid tribute to Chinese pioneers who contributed to its development.

Nevada is celebrating its centennial. Governor Grant Sawyer officially proclaimed Oct. 24 and 25 as “Salute to Chinese Pioneer Days”.

A monument was dedicated at the City of Sparks Oct. 24 to honor the “esteemed memory” of Chinese pioneers who worked on railroads, canals, mines and farms.

Ceremonies were attended by Governor Sawyer and Senator Hiram Fong from Hawaii, the only U. S. Senator of Chinese descent.

San Francisco Consul-General Che Yin-shou and prominent Chinese civic leaders from San Francisco and Nevada cities were present.
