The shadow Who Wants to be Independent

The shadow one day decides to be independent
It is thinking during the day
its subtlety could really win some mercy
with the interference of various light sources
during the night
other than the moon
no one really pays attention to its existence
It could stretch its dream
beyond the limitations of the body
the restrictions imposed by law
the cliche from moral standards

It could do whatever it wants
without being caught
since there is nothing physical to tie it with
But lights don't like the thought
that the shadow should be separated from its master body
they blank it
so the shadow could barely find itself

The shadow asked the city electric engineer
to regulate the power of lights
and in return the shadow promised not to tell anyone
about the engineer's secret love affair

Except for the moon
the shadow couldn't really control
but to stay as a shadow
As opposite to the wolverine
the shadow only find its secret desire
between moons
on cloudy or rainy days
