@Dangerous:

view the entire episode aired:

Jimmy Kimmel responded to the children by saying:

"Should we allow the Chinese to live?"

That means Kimmel proclaimed, like Hitler did, and TAUGHT the children that "we", reasonably interpreted as Americans, have the "right" to decide whether all Chinese people should be subjected to genocide.

Worse, Kimmel added insult to injury by making backhanded insults to repeat a range of fake apologies, such as by saying "we won't do Children's Round Table any more", as if it was only the children's fault, as if the demonstrators were demonstrating against the format and just did not understand English sufficiently, and as if Chinese people just do not get jokes by children! It is classic deliberate hiding of TRUE INNER intention to hurt, to harm, to commit illegal, unconstitutional acts by disguising such racial hatred provoking acts as "jokes".

Worst of all, Kimmel is promoting a cool trend to hide illegal racist acts, intention, attitude by what he and many consider "sophisticated skills" to be racist against members of another race

in general -- that is what Obama must explain most carefully and denounce in his response.

See recent reports on Neo-Nazis recruiting strategies in Germany. That is the EXACT tactic neo-Nazi groups recruit young members at first --- by making jokes to make racial hatred "cool". In Germany, there is an effort to alert youngsters to be aware of such neo-Nazi tactics.

Homicide of innocent, Asian strangers have increased in recent years, since Obama repeatedly scapegoated Asians for our economic woes, when the OFFICIAL report headed by DeAngelis, did not find ANY evidence that China, Chinese people, or Chinese Americans contributing ANYTHING to the financial crisis or the current economic woes.

Some of such crimes victimized other colored people in America.

I believe similar rhetoric ALREADY has killed.

This may be Obama's opportunity for redemption.

When kids hold hate-based and murderous thoughts, the greater blame should be on their parents, and on their religious and school mentors, as well as on those who are in regular association with these kids. Kimmel and his show organizers ought to be seen more as disgustingly stupid, immature and irresponsible nincompoops for spreading bad moral influences to the public. They all seem to be in desperate need to have their brains examined by psychiatrists!

@SageG: What, you think people are born to hate? Do I see hate? No, not yet. But I see dehumanization. I see indifference. I see xenophobia. That's only a step removed from outright hate, and it's damned chilling coming from the mouths of the next generation, casually put out on national TV as a joke.

To be fair, people are upset not because it is about China or because a kid said something darn, it is because the show is not live and ABC has enough to decide to air it or not. I am pretty sure ABC will not broadcast the episode if the kid said something to kill everyone in South Africa or in Isreal, for example. It is also misleading to say it is about China, or Chinese in China. People are concerned because they are concerned that in a society less friendly to Asian American, they will not have the equal opportunity when they apply for jobs, and they are concerned if their kids will be bullied in school. These are down to earth questions to every individual in America. The "apologies" by ABC and Mr. Kimmel could NOT be said as sincere if one looks at how they apologized and who they apologized to. For example, Kimmel said sorry to people he called "they", it is thus unclear he meant Chinese in China who seem to be unconcerned/unaware about his joke at the time, or Asian American here who are demanding an apology.

说是希望多些人看见, 但哪些口口声声说不与小孩计较的, 政治永远正确的, 看了也不会改变。 在这些人来说, 没了中国人来踩, 他们永远不能得到洋人的认同。
