拟比夏日君意何？  Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?
可爱温柔君赛过；  Thou art more lovely and more temperate;
五月花蕾风狂扯， Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May,
夏季驻期转如梭；And summer's lease hath all too short a date;
天眼照耀时酷热， Sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines,
金面亦常暗失泽； And often is his gold complexion dimm'd;
美人随时褪美色， And every fair from fair sometime declines,
偶或宿命变强折；By chance or nature's changing course untrimm'd;
夏颜驻你永难撤，But thy eternal summer shall not fade,
娇美丝毫不凋落；Nor lose possession of that fair thou ow'st;
死神难夸你阴遮，Nor shall Death brag thou wander'st in his shade,
永恒诗句记君活：When in eternal lines to time thou grow'st:
既然人眨眼呼吸，So long as men can breathe or eyes can see,
既然此诗人常记，
君当永生此诗里。So long lives this, and this gives life to thee.
