难忘的第7次圣路易斯之行(1):追思好友Jim

音乐几乎伴随了我所有的文字,从音符中飘逸出的旋律有时比文字更能释译情感。

My family has been deeply saddened by the loss of our beloved friend Jim. I am in St Louis this weekend to attend Jim’s Memorial Mass. Together with his family and friends, we celebrate Jim’s remarkable 87 years of life. Who could imagine that 3 strangers (Jim, Min and me) brief encounter at Copenhagen, Denmark over 24 years ago would become lifelong friendship. The money that Jim left to his loved ones and to my family as well as the Endowment Scholarship that my family established in his honor with his gift money not only will benefit financial needy college students, but also will tell the goodness and kindness of humanity from generations to generations of my family.

We miss you, Jim. But, we are comforted by the faith that we shall meet again in Heaven. Rest in Peace, our dear friend.

Jim served in US Navy during the World War II. He was the left one with a white hat.

Jim was the 3rd person from the right.

谢谢晴天妹妹。“Some people come in our life as blessings. Others come in our life as lessons.”(Mother Teresa)。 朋友是我们生命中的祝福。我和家人都很感恩生命中有象Jim这样的朋友;我也感恩通过网络认识象你这样的朋友!
