再看看这个全世界的数据:
Worldwide, cervical cancer is both the fourth most common cause of cancer and the fourth most common cause of death from cancer in women.[5] In 2012, it was estimated that there were 528,000 cases of cervical cancer, and 266,000 deaths.[5] This is about 8% of the total cases and total deaths from cancer.[13]

回复 '零不是数' 的评论 Yeah, you can show off how good of your English level here, however, first, you need to learn how to be nice to others, not just insulting others to show how good you are. "stupid" is not a good word to use for others.
The author just expressed his opinions. Somebody may like it.
回复 'senatoral' 的评论 : completely agree, could not say it better. The most scaring thing is that this guy knows nothing about basic statistics but dares to challenge a practice supported by scientific studies. Well if you trust a piece of shit like that with your health, then good luck!

回复 'senatoral' 的评论 : I really think as a certified physician as you should be nice to people with difference opinions. From my view, I like what the author said in his blogger. Even you are a physician, a certified physician, I really don't care what you said. I support the author, since really not too many people can understand what he talked in his blogger if you only have Western medicine background.

First timer newbie here. Being a certified physician working for a non-for-profit organization to develop vaccines, I really cannot take the shit mouthed out by this blogger. I have no conflict of interest with Merck and dislike Merck actually, but couldn't help coming to the defense for Merck's Gardasil. This vaccine has been prescribed in more than 100 countries and proved to be safe and extremely effective to protect against early stage cancers caused by HPV16/18.
If not for the warning from the site, I really wanted to throw some nasty or derogatory language after this blogger. This guy does not possess an iota of medical knowledge. This particular blog doesn't hold water and will mislead readers with grave medical consequences and could bear leg consequences as well. His blog should be permanently banned by the site.

回复 'needtime' 的评论 : I know HPV16 and 18 cause cervical cancer, my question is how do you know other over 170 species of human HPV could not cause cancer? Did somebody test it all? If not, if only use the vaccination specific for Hpv16 and 18, will this be specific against others as well?. I think this is the choice by person since definitely the

单一从英国数据: It kills just over 900 women every year in the UK. Most types of HPV do not cause any symptoms or diseases. However, two types, HPV16 and HPV18, are involved in the development of most (three quarters of) cases of cancer of the neck of the womb (cervix).
感染了这几种HPV不一定会发展成癌症! 得宫颈癌的人,100%带有疫苗中的1种类别的病毒,这才是关键。仅仅看英国吧,:In November 2011, the Department of Health announced that the UK HPV immunisation programme would switch to using Gardasil? from September 2012. The decision to change to Gardasil? was made because it protects against genital warts and cervical cancer. This is felt to be the safer option, as condoms only stop about half of cases of genital warts being passed on. There are around 100,000 new cases of genital warts per year in the UK, costing the NHS nearly ?17 million to treat in England alone.
