克林顿夫妇的聪明智慧能力雄心志向坚韧

My note of reading this moring: you need

friends if you want to succeed, but if you want to have greater success

you need enemy. It's proven for Clintons - They can grab the bricks thrown at them to build a foundation for their success, a way for those without background to overcome obstacles to achieve their dream.

 

They've thrived through adversaris when they came to national platform. I's shocked by the adversary Bob Dole put on Bill Clinton. The morning when Bill's mother died - all TV news put it on hightlines that morning. People were sympathetic to Bill, a son brought up by a single mother - Virginia. The morning, Bob Dole (Senate Leader, later Republican Presidential Candidate) announced to push for a special proscution for Clinton's Whatewater Investment Hearing - reminding me of Hillary's Benghazi Hearing.

 

Bill watched his bedroom TV, listenging to Bob Dole talking with Newt Gingrich - Bill's mind bewildered with tears well in his eyes  - mumbering "You don't hit people when they're down, but treat your adversaries with decency." - My mind was shocked and sadden when I read his mumbering.

I've learned that what comes around goes around - Bob Dole reap his own bitterness, losing his campaign to Bill Clinton, never bearing any children with his honor. Don't do bad and say bad - a curse you don't want to see. Be aware of your prophecy. Treat people with decency!

 

Decency is th core value for Western culture - treat others with respect, give them dignity. Why do I write in English? Perhaps I read too much bad nasty comment in Chinese - a language with blazing hash acid toxic poison words. I know those Chinese English readers with melow mind with kindness and graciousness. Salute to humanity!

(读作舟“希拉利和女儿谈婚姻、克林顿与Monica Lewinsky绯闻”有感)

 

我一向不关心政治，对政客更是不闻不评不在意。但是克林顿夫妇是唯一能够引起我的关注的政客。

　

第一次注意到克林顿是在电视上看到他竞选总统的辩论演讲，之后他接任老布什成为了美国总统。克林顿执政期间最大的成是经济的繁荣。尽管一系列丑闻，克林顿依然有着极高的民望，主要原因是克林顿在任期间颇有政绩，创造了美国长期的经济繁荣，促使了美国高科技行业的飞速发展，奠定了今日美国高科技大国的地位。

　

克林顿夫妇就读于耶鲁法学院，他们在那里相恋。希拉利曾多次拒绝克林顿的求婚。希拉利在自传中写道：“现在想想，那时的我多么害怕承诺，更害怕招架不了比尔的深情。我觉得他像大自然般多变，并怀疑自己是否有本事应付他的春夏秋冬.....”1998年克林顿与莱温斯基爆出了丑闻，但希拉利选择继续站在丈夫身边，理由是“我仍然爱着他”。后来，克林顿因心脏病住院，在生命垂危之际，克林顿说：“希拉利是我最爱的人。”也许克林顿夫妇是为政治而生，他们的情感和志向并非凡人所能理解。但是经历了那么多普通人难以承受的压力和风波，今天他们仍然站在彼此的身边，别人又怎么能知道他们灿烂的笑容不是发自内心？

　

多年前我们还住在康州(Connecticut)的时候，参加了耶鲁300校庆庆典活动。校庆的一个重要内容是回顾耶鲁毕业生中的历代名人。当时以大屏幕的形式播放各位名人的简介和业绩。当克林顿前总统出现在荧屏时，全场欢呼声掌声雷动。而当另一位总统出现时，全场虚虚声四起。很多年过去了，这是迄今我唯一能记住的庆典情景。

今天，在希拉利竞选总统之际，克林顿-莱温丝姬丑闻重新浮出水面。其实希拉利的对手们太小看她了。强者从来都不会被别人的言论所击垮。“希拉利不需要我们的同情。在克林顿绯闻的漫长八卦岁月里，希拉利才是“受害者”。可是，她没有把自己当成受害者。原因很简单：人和人不一样；女人和女人更不一样！”(作舟博客)

犀智的女儿，不愧是克林顿的后代。

　

“每个人都应该学希拉利的大智慧: 原谅！原谅那些有意或无意伤害你的人。他她们不是“罪犯”；他她们的缺陷和前世今生所受的伤害是他她们软弱、自私的原因之一。原谅了，就是放下了，才有可能继续自己的人生；才有可能得到他人的尊重！”(作舟博客)

我不懂也不关心政治，不知道哪一位竞选者更适合做总统。但是我欣赏克林顿夫妇的聪明，智慧，能力，雄心，志向，和坚韧。他们从没有后台没有背景的普通人，成为了当今世界上最强大最有影响力的美国的最耀眼的公众人物。无论希拉利是否能成为美国总统，其实他们夫妇已经成为了美国政史的传奇：一个是颇有业绩的美国前总统，一个是刚刚卸任的美国前国务卿。

金无足赤，人无完人。无论大事小事，成功是属于聪明，智慧，有能力，有魄力，坚韧，有坚持的人们！属于懂得取舍，懂得原谅，有能力排除外界干扰，专心致力于自己的追求的人们！
