People as parents particularly hate Bill Clinton for violating trust code to abuse his power to seduce a little girl. Parents, however, can't do much as Monica, 24-YO at the time, was independent - she could make her own decision, chasing her own happiness.

I wonder if I got this right, Peace is countable or uncountable. I checked it out (above).

Dalai Lama used it right as he was for a time of balance between anger and happiness (fit into the definition #4 above). The way I used was wrong, I'd have used uncountable form - not "a" in above.

这句最早出自元代高明所著的《琵琶记》
   元·高明《琵琶记》第三十一出几言谏父——“这妮子无礼，却将言语来冲撞我。我的言语到不中呵，孩儿，夫言中听父言违，懊恨孩儿见识迷。我本将心托明月，谁知明月照沟渠。”
意思是：
   我以真心待世人，世人却虚伪的待我。
   直白地说意思是,你喜欢明月但明月不解风情，就是本来我一心向明月的，但是呢明月没有照我却照满沟渠。喻自己很喜欢/很想做的事没有得/做到，更无奈的是自己喜欢/想做到的人/事物却做的更不好。
   还可以解释为：为什么我心属明月，而明月却偏偏照着臭水沟、下水道。也就是说为什么我看上的姑娘（或小伙），怎么偏偏看上了其貌不扬的臭小子（丑丫头）！当然，这是将月亮比作心上人说，或者也能把月亮比作心上的事物，而事物发展并不如意，照了沟渠，妄自辜负了自己的心意。
   也可意为“落花有意流水无情”
