I'm nor surprised reading the following headline news in NY Times. Syrians are brothers/sisters - that bond can't be broken. In Chinese Civil War/Anti-Japanese war, GuoMinDang, GongCunDang, pro-Japan Wang Jing-wei - brotherhood played a huge role as "blood is thicker than water" - never deny that.
My take is the external force will never win. such mass can be cleaned up only by locals. It's waste of time and resources. The US should be out of that region.
