How To Open A Coconut

打印 被阅读次数

Step 1:

Lay the coconut on its side and shave the top of the coconut with a cleaver or sharp knife, exposing the shell.

Step 2:

Using the corner of the cleaver, strike the shell hard enough to puncture it, then pry off the top carefully to prevent spilling the water.

Step 3:

Strain the coconut water to remove any bits of husk or debris.

Step 4:

Use an ice cream scoop or large spoon to remove the meat from the inside of the coconut.

Side Note:

How to tell if your coconut has gone bad?

If the coconut meat has a pink-coloured hue, it has gone bad. The meat should be a bright white.
