Agreed! It's those very soft, subtle touch or skills (communications, gestures, ways of treating things and people, etc.) that help a person thrive in a structured organization in the long run. This doesn't indicate that the first or second generation of Chinese aren't good at these areas, but that they're not so good in the Western culture. The first generation's too much emphasis on Chinese culture, attending Chinese schools, Chinese ways of thinking and doing things is drawing back their children from being more successful in the US I think. Again, I am not proposing against Chinese heritage or identity at all.
