1. Rick Steves' tour day 6 schedule.

2. Monks Valley. The place was awesome except we were only given an hour, so we really had to hustle.

18. The salesman was really good. He had no accent at all, and was really funny too.

19. He showed us dozens of carpets, from hundreds of dollars to over ten thousand dollars. Even though we had no interest in buying carpets there, we found the demonstration pretty interesting. I only wish after the demonstration finished, people were only given 30-45 minutes to buy their carpets, instead we lingered over an hour at least, waiting for the slowest shopper to finish buying their carpet (it still cost a lot of money, so people had to think and negotiate which took time). Those are time I wish we could have spent at the Monks Valley this morning.

24. A model of the Kaymakli Underground City. The city was used in the Byzantine era for protection from Muslim Arabs during the Arab–Byzantine wars (780-1180). Yaren said there are 9 levels, only 4 levels were opened to the tourists. Many places require bending down really hard, or walking in squatting position.

25. A small village we stopped by.
