快下班的时候，Jaime到Joanna办公室汇报调查进展，告诉老板，把小吴画室所在的社区翻了个底儿朝天，也没有找到有用的线索。

Joanna亲自联系华盛顿总检察长办公室，找总检察长罗斯，听了几分钟的废话，无奈挂断电话。 回到家里，冰锅冷灶，女儿、狗、丈夫都不是很开心，Joanna很希望有个肩膀可以靠靠，却也只能将眼泪往肚子里吞下去。

一大早，Joanna从被窝里接收到了来自华盛顿方面的电话，电话那头的Harry告诉Joanna, 关于小吴的资料，为了防止泄密，将专门派遣一个探员送来，这个探员来了之后就不回去了，会作为观察员协助办案。

一肚子火的Joanna警长开会迟到了，这次例会的主要内容是削减费用，主要削减的是Joanna所负责部门的费用： 安保费用。

在与搭档Frank吃午餐的时候，Joanna通报了早上街道华盛顿来电的 情况，告诉Frank, 中央巡视组要来，Frank很不高兴。

回到办公室，探员Jaime告诉Joanna，小迪昨天的画展没有办成，取消了。
