BERLIN, KOMPAS.com – Corona virus that was spreading around the world was known not from the city Wuhan in Central China but a mutation from Italy North, according to virologist German Alexander Kekule, Thursday (26/11/2020).

Reporting from CGTN, a strain of the virus in Italy is called a “G” mutant, a strain that has a genetic mutation, explained Professor Kekule.

In the ZDF Talkshow, Professor Kekule explained that this mutant G virus is likely to be more contagious than the variant found in Wuhan, China which is considered to be the epicenter of the spread. Covid-19.

More than 99 percent of cases of Covid-19 infection can be traced genetically to the Italian variant and even according to German news agencies, Weser Courier quoting Professor Kekule, cases of infection in China are now being re-imported from Europe and around the world.

According to Professor Kekule, a global pandemic started in Northern Italy.

The expert said Italy’s ignorance of the virus and China‘s long-standing warnings and lack of precautions were the cause of the global pandemic, otherwise the original virus could have been brought under control.
